Standing Up for You and Your Rights
Victor Chan & Co. was started on 1st January 2017. The firm has 4 solicitors at the moment, Mr. Victor Chan (the Principal), Mr. Patrick Wong (Senior Consultant), Ms. Polly Lui (Associate) and Miss Mabel Fu (Consultant). Our main areas of practice are civil litigation (including personal injury), criminal litigation and general commercial matters.
Our Mr. Victor Chan had served a major insurance company (“MIC”) when he was previously in Messrs. Alvan Liu & Partners (“ALP”) and Messrs. Tang, Wong & Cheung (“TWC”), providing services mainly in personal injury litigation and also traffic offences cases, such as careless driving and dangerous driving. Our Ms. Polly Lui and Miss Mabel Fu are also experienced in personal injuring litigation. They have been practicing for more than 10 years. Ms. Lui was qualified in 2006 and Miss Mabel Fu was qualified in 2008. At present, Ms. Lui is handling personal injuring files together with our Mr. Chan while Miss Fu is currently handling in the main commercial litigation files. When she was in TWC, she had also handled personal injuring litigation files.
As said, our Mr. Chan, Ms. Lui and Miss. Fu all have abundant experience in the field of civil litigation, especially in personal injury litigation. We can provide speedy and effective advice and solutions to queries from clients.
Also, our Mr. Chan is an experienced advocate in traffic offence cases. There is no need for us to brief out traffic offence cases tried in the Magistrates’ Court. It is believed that substantial costs can be saved in this regard. In the past, Mr. Chan was able to either achieve acquittals for defendants or found evidence of contributory negligence during the trials of these cases. When Mr. Chan was with ALP and TWC his acquittal rate for trials conducted by him should be around 50%, roughly estimated. It is believed that our firm can provide you with such services and can assist you to better defend against claimants in personal injury actions subsequent to criminal proceedings related to such claims.
